1. We encourage our customers to use only bottles that they personally
have emptied and rinsed.
2. As soon as possible we recommend soaking and washing the bottle
in hot soapy water. A bottle brush is a handy tool for cleaning the inside
of your bottles.
3. All labels and glue must be removed from your bottles. We can not
fill bottles that have labels still affixed. Bottles that have any marks in
the glass that identifies them as having come from a specific winery
other than ours also can't be filled.
4. Once the bottle is washed we suggest you run your bottles through
the dishwasher if possible. They usually fit on the bottom rack.
5. When you have several bottles gathered and cleaned, it is best to
soak them in a tub of hot water and bleach. This will help keep things
from growing in your bottles while they're being stored.
6. Store your bottles upside down in a wine box. The boxes we send
your wine home in are perfect. These boxes should be stored in a dry
place. Out behind the garage or in a moldy basement are not good
choices.
7. When your wine is ready to bottle we ask that you check your bottles
one more time. Often they have collected dust and grime, especially on
the outside. So once more, we recommend washing the bottles quickly
in hot soapy water. It won't take too long this time since the labels
should already be off.
8. Once at the winery we will rinse the inside of the bottles with a
cleaner/sanitizer followed by hot water and then another sanitizer.
BECAUSE OF THE INCREASED RISK OF CONTAMINATION, OUR GUARANTEE IS VOIDED WHEN YOU USE RECYCLED BOTTLES.
