A MICRO-WINERY SERVING SOUTHWESTERN MICHIGAN AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
|

We try to keep the following wines in stock at the winery at all times.
Many are available for tasting and we are working on making the rest
available for tasting as well. However, don't over look the Special
Order wines. We can usually have these wines at the winery in one or
two weeks.
CHARDONNAY/SEMILLON Structure, complexity, depth, body and
character are all present in this blend. A good balance of fruit and oak
finish off this dry, medium-bodied wine.
GEWÜRZTRAMINER Exotic and spicy this off-dry white wine is a
favorite. Flavors of lychee, rose and grapefruit distinguish this wine
from most. Try it with spicy foods or roasted turkey.
JOHANNISBERG RIESLING Taste the citrus, apple and sweet
spice in this crisp, refreshing, dry white wine. Excellent with pork and
seafood. Note the floral bouquet in this light-medium bodied wine.
LUNA BIANCA This off-dry wine is a blend unique to Winexpert. It
has a rich, buttery bouquet with flavors of tropical fruit, vanilla and oak.
This wine has the fullest body of all our white wines. With its smooth,
round mouth-feel it is wonderful with foods that have rich cream sauces.
PIESPORTER STYLE If you are looking for a wine that is great for
sipping or to accompany a sandwich than try a Piesporter. Soft and
easy drinking with aromas of elder flowers, apple, pear and honey.
SAUVIGNON BLANC This wine's grassy, herbaceous character
and crisp, refreshing acidity makes it a wonderful choice when serving
vegetarian dishes. This dry, medium-bodied wine is also good with
asparagus, goat cheese and as a sipping wine.
VIOGNIER Peaches, apricots and spring blossoms make this wine
hard to resist. Originally grown in France's Rhone Valley, the Viognier
grape is one of the hardest to grow, but it is well worth the effort.
Perfect when you want a change of taste from a Chardonnay but still
want to enjoy Chardonnay's richness. Great with fish and seafood.
Don't forget we can help you customize your wine. We want
to help you create your perfect wine.

Body Refers to how light or heavy a wine feels in the mouth. Full body wines are often accompanied by complex and lasting flavors. Light body wines are thin or watery, but not necessarily inferior wines. Body simply refers to a wines overall nature.
Tannin Structural components in wine that effects color and, ageing potential. Can cause a drying sensation in the mouth, similar to that of a green banana. Tannins are associated with red wines and are created when the yeast interacts with the grape skins. Overly tannic wine will mellow with age.
Complex Refers to wine having many different flavors and facets.
Finish Refers to how long the flavors of a wine lasts in the mouth after drinking.
Dry Refers to wine in which all of the available sugar has been fermented into alcohol. Off-dry refers to a wine that has a hint of sweetness.
Crisp A wine that is high in acidity while still maintaining balanced flavors. These wines are usually quite refreshing on the palate.
Balanced A balanced wine is one in which no one flavor stands out too much.
Oak Wine can have oak add during fermentation or it can be aged in oak. Oak being used can be American, French, Hungarian, toasted or un-toasted. Most red and some white wines come into contact with oak. This contact will develop flavors of spice, vanilla and wood in the wine as well as tannins.
