We have classified our white wines into one of six categories.

ISLAND MISTS   These semi-sweet favorites are always fun.  Easy
to make   and easy to drink.  They are ready in less than 5 weeks and
are ready  to enjoy without any aging. A wonderfully refreshing
summertime option instead of beer.  Of course they're good the rest of
the year too.

VINTNER RESERVE   Quality wines, ready to bottle in 4-5 weeks.
Lighter bodied and lower in alcohol than our other wines, these wines
are perfect for those just entering the world of wine.  For limited time
only this group of wines also includes our World Vineyard series of
wine.

SELECTION   Premium wines are consistently produced and ready
to bottle in 6 weeks.  These wines are characterized by more body,
along with great aroma, flavor and complexity.

INTERNATIONAL   The same great quality as our superior wines,
but these wines come from grapes grown of vineyards from  around
the world. Italy, Australia, Chile, New Zealand, France and others are
all represented in this category.

ESTATE    The juice for these wines come from famous wine growing
regions from around the world.  These wines offer the best flavor and
they have the most potential when aging and cellaring.  These wines
are all consistently in the medals and are the best we have to offer for
the discerning wine lover.

DESSERT  Sweet with lots of body.  These wines are a perfect
ending to any meal.  These wines are our most popular for giving as
gifts.

LIMITED     Outstanding wines from around the world that are offered
in a very limited quantity. Pre-ordering these wines in the Fall is highly
recommended since they are released for a period of only one month.
Wines in this category have consistently won awards in the past.
Glossary
Body
Refers to how light or heavy a
wine feels in the mouth. Full
body wines are often
accompanied by complex and
lasting flavors. Light  body
wines are thin or watery, but
not necessarily inferior wines.
Body simply refers to a wines
overall nature.

Tannin
Structural components in wine
that effects color and, ageing
potential. Can cause  a drying
sensation in the mouth, similar
to that of a green banana.
Tannins are associated with
red wines and are created
when the yeast interacts with
the grape skins. Overly tannic
wine will mellow with age.

Complex
Refers to wine having many
different flavors and facets.

Finish
Refers to how long the flavors
of a wine lasts in the mouth
after drinking.

Dry
Refers to wine in which all of
the available sugar has been
fermented into alcohol. Off-dry
refers to a wine that has a hint
of sweetness.

Crisp
A wine that is high in acidity
while  still maintaining
balanced flavors.  These wines
are usually quite refreshing on
the palate.

Balanced
A balanced wine is one in
which no one flavor stands out
too much.

Oak
Wine can have oak add during
fermentation or it can be aged
in oak.  Oak being used can
be American, French,
Hungarian, toasted or
un-toasted.  Most red and
some white wines come into
contact with oak. This contact
will develop flavors of spice,
vanilla and wood in the wine
as well as tannins.
